The Sanborn County Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Ebersdorfer presiding. Other members present were: P. Larson, Blindauer, and Ohlrogge. Absent was S. Larson. Motion by Blindauer, seconded by Ohlrogge, to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.
Marla Feistner, County Health Nurse, met with the board to present her quarterly report.
Lee Goergen, Highway Superintendent/Weed Supervisor, presented An Agreement to Provide for the Striping and Continuing Maintenance of County Roads Within Sanborn County. Motion by Ohlrogge, seconded by P. Larson, to enter into this agreement with the State of South Dakota. Motion carried.
Motion by Blindauer, seconded by P. Larson, to advertise for bid letting on March 5, 2013 for highway needs. Motion carried. Motion by P. Larson, seconded by Ohlrogge, to purchase culverts and bridge material from TrueNorth Steel off the Beadle County bid. Motion carried.
Mark Meyer, Director of Equalization, presented a plat for Callan’s Outlot 1, a part of SE/4 19-107-62. By recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Board, motion by Ohlrogge, seconded by P. Larson, to accept the plat. Motion carried. Meyer also presented a plat for Delbert and Kathy Northrup consisting of A Plat for Tract 1 of Northrup Addition in NW/4 36-105-61. By recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Board, motion by Blindauer, seconded by P. Larson, to accept the plat. Motion carried.
Holly Feistner, who has been a regular driver with our ambulance for several years, requested help to attend EMT school. Motion by P. Larson, seconded by Ohlrogge, to pay $725.00 for her schooling and she will pay for the books. Motion carried.
Taxing discrepancies of $762.72 for Paul Larson and $369.70 for Andy Moeller were discovered. Motion by Blindauer, seconded by Ohlrogge, to reimburse the funds to the taxpayers through errors and omissions. Motion carried. P. Larson abstained from voting.
Motion by Blindauer, seconded by Ohlrogge, to accept the reports and pay the following bills. Motion carried.
