The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Lindy Peterson at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Woonsocket City Council Room with the following members present: Richard Reider, Richard Regynski, John Ames, Don Schmidt, Brandon Goergen and Jim Steichen.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Ames, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Ames, seconded by Steichen, to approve the January 7, 2013 minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Ames, to approve the end of the year financials. Motion carried.
Motion by Reider, seconded by Schmidt, to approve the January financials. Motion carried.

Council discussed the Cemetery Road.
Council discussed water meters.
Motion by Regynski, seconded by Schmidt, to approve the second reading of ordinance 93-05. Motion carried.
AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 93-05
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOONSOCKET, SOUTH DAKOTA:
• That Ordinance No. 93-05 shall be amended to read as follows, to-wit:
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer for sale, shoot, or cause to be discharged or exploded, any firecracker or other similar explosive device, or to aide and abet in the doing thereof on Lake Prior and city property adjacent to Lake Prior. Upon conviction for violation of this Ordinance the individual shall be punished by paying a fine of not more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200).
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication.

Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Goergen, to approve the first reading of Ordinance 93-14 fixing the salary of the Finance Officer. Motion carried.
The following items were topics for discussion: water shut-off notices, residents, animals, fire hydrants, Jake Brake signs, natural gas options.
With no further business to be discussed. Motion by Steichen, seconded by Schmidt, to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
