The Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H Club Blue Group met on July 10 in the Letcher Community Center.
The meeting was called to order by President Riley Zoss. The pledges were led by Meghan Chada and Delaney Zoss. The secretary’s report was given by Meghan Chada. The treasurer’s report was given by Riley Zoss. The treasurer’s report was approved by Ashlee Hansen and Haley Degen.
Jenna Skinner gave a report on our local grandparents. Meghan Chada reported about her Teen Camp experience and Jenna Skinner reported on her Focus Trip. The club decided to donate $25 to the County Leaders instead of the Phonathon. Cole Moody and Ashlee Hansen gave reports of the club’s concession stand at the Hemminger’s sale. Haley Degen and Michael Hoffman gave reports over the Breakfast Benefit for Tanna. Brady Larson and Meghan Chada gave reports over what they did for Special Foods. Michael Hoffman and Bryce Larson gave reports over Cloverbud Day.
Jewelry making will be held at Janet’s house on July 11 at 7 p.m. The club decided that they will help with the Summer Reading Program at the Letcher Library. It was approved by Michael Hoffman and Alexis Kelly. A committee was formed of Michael Hoffman, Alexis Kelly and Haley Degen.
Members were reminded that they have to pre-register their exhibits, check-in for livestock is Aug. 2 and the poultry show is also that Friday.
The club decided that the proceeds from the pie contest would be donated to the Senska family. It was approved by Haley Degen and Renee Farmer. Judges for the pie contest were also discussed.
Members were also reminded to sell barbecue tickets and to work on record books.
The next meeting will be discussed at a later date.
