The Town and Kountry Kids – Blue Group met on Nov. 19 at the 4-H building in Forestburg. Roll call of your favorite food item for Thanksgiving dinner was answered by 28 members. The club welcomed Kenlie, Keaton and Kaidence Fridley and Parker Ettswold.
The secretary’s report was read by Noah Wormstadt and the treasurer’s report by Brady Larson. It was noted that Les and Vickie Blindauer donated $20 to the club.
Committee reports are as follows: National 4-H Week by Ellie Evans, Delaney Zoss and Dean Hanson; Trunk or Treat by Brady Larson; American Education Week by Cole Moody; and Grandparents by Ellie Evans.
Old business: Record books were handed back with comments and premium money was dispersed. Recognition thank you notes were written and signed by members.
New business: It was decided to get gifts for graduating members Jenna Skinner and Meghan Chada with Brady and Ellie on the committee.
Election of officers: President – Cole Moody, Vice-President – Ellie Evans, Secretary – Ashlee Hanson, Treasurer – Brady Larson, and Reporter – Noah Wormstadt. Online enrollments were worked on during the meeting.
There was a motion by Brady, seconded by Ellie, to put a Christmas tree up at the Sanborn County Courthouse. The committee is: Toby, Caleb and Riley Kneen, Keaton, Kenlie and Kaidence Fridley and Chloe Degen.
A motion was made by Ellie and seconded by Brady to decorate the Letcher Community Center. This will be completed on Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m.
The group decided to have two community service projects this month: caroling and a community Christmas party on Dec. 13 and a pay it forward activity at Buckshots.
Lunch was served by Toby, Caleb and Riley Kneen and Tori Hoffman. The next meeting will be held on Dec. 13 at the Letcher Community Center.
