Clarence Lowell Ogle, 65, of Rapid City, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, near Wall.
Celebration of life ceremonies were held Friday, Oct. 6, at the First Assembly of God Church in Rapid City.
Clarence was born on Nov. 2, 1951, in Huron, to the late Lowell and Katherine (Schmitgen) Ogle. He graduated from Harrold High School in 1969, and went on to attend the University of South Dakota in Springfield.
He married the late Lorna Salathe in 1974. They welcomed three children into their home – a set of twins, Brian and Kristin, and a son, Travis.
Clarence was a hard worker and was always willing to help a guy out. He spent a good part of his life rebuilding cars and took great pride in the work he did. Clarence loved going to car shows, the racetrack and talking cars. He was an active participant in his kids’ and grandkids’ sports, coaching and being a fan.
Clarence will always be remembered for his infectious laugh.
He is survived by his three children: Kristin (Mike Bickett), Travis (Jamea) and Brian (Melanie); nine grandchildren; brothers, Mike, David, Dean, Larry and Gary; father-in-law, Raymond Salathe; and mother-in-law, Mildred Salathe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Katherine Ogle; his wife, Lorna in February of 2016; and a brother, James.
Memorials may be directed to Harney Little League.
