Mayor Chada called the meeting to order with Hoffman, Larson, and Meier in attendance.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the August 8th, 2017, minutes as read.
A motion was made by Larson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve the financials as presented.
Old Business:
Discussion was held on meters that need to be fixed. Discussion was held on past due accounts.
The Board went over town insurance/workman’s comp insurance; it will go into effect September 1st.
New Business:
Discussion was held on the Sanborn County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The information was gone over that was discussed at the last meeting on August 9th.
Discussion was held on water samples. The Copper/Lead/TMH samples will be done by September 30th.
The concession stand at the ball park is cleaned out. The Board called NorthWestern Energy, and electricity will be turned off until next spring.
Discussion was held on the Census for 2020.
The board looked at the new Flood Maps.
The Board went over the 2018 budget for Water, Sewer, and General Fund.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the 2018 Budget for Water, Sewer, and General Fund as presented.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the following claims for payment:
GENERAL AND WATER/SEWER: Davison Rural Water – $2,411.40 – water used, Department of Revenue – $15.00 – water samples, Morgan Theeler – $111.83 – professional fees, Sanborn Journal – $19.16 – advertising minutes, Van Diest Supply – $1,370.00 – West Nile spraying supplies, Wellmark BCBS – $1,657.75 – health insurance.
The next board meetings will be held on September 7th and 18th, and October 2nd and 19th, 2017.
