Pat Knigge was born on Aug. 24, 1939, at Huron, to Delbert and Kathryn (Nelson) Moe. She grew up on a farm in Silver Creek Township northwest of Woonsocket with her parents and brother, Doug. She helped her mother with the cooking and housework, along with chicken chores.

Pat was a lifelong and faithful member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, was active in Faith Circle, and worked on mission projects.

She moved to Prairie View Care Center in June of 2004 and was the longest residing resident. While there, she especially enjoyed playing Bingo and dominos.

Pat is survived by one son, Tully Knigge, of Mitchell, and one brother, Doug (Kay) Moe, of Brookings.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sonny in 1990.
