The Town of Artesian Council met on March 4, 2019, in regular session at the Artesian Community Center. Council Member K. Effling called the meeting to order with Council Member C. Danek, Council Member T. King and Finance Officer G. Effling present.  Also present were Tom Fridley and Rich Danek.

The minutes of the February  6, 2019, meeting were read; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by King; motion carried. Financial reports were read; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by King; motion carried. The following vouchers were presented for the month; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by King; motion carried.

Old Business: A discussion was held on city streets and snow removal, the lagoon, sewer and garbage and drainage during the upcoming spring season.

New Business: The Equalization Meeting has been set for Monday, March 18, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the Artesian Community Center. The books will be open from March 18, 2019, through March 22, 2019, by appointment only with the Finance Officer. There will not be an election for the year of 2019. Gravel quotes were discussed. Discussion was held on the Mosquito Grant. Discussion was held on the Surface Water Discharge Renewal Permit. The board reviewed the accounts receivable.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 3, 2019, at the Artesian Community Center at 7:30 p.m.

There being no further business motion by King, seconded by Danek, motion carried.
