The SCW Lady Blackhawks hosted the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (MVP) Titans in Forestburg on Tuesday, Oct. 26. It was a great matchup of two strong teams, but MVP held on just a touch longer than the Lady Blackhawks and handed SCW their sixth loss of the season in five sets with scores of 15-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23 and 12-15.

SCW ends the regular season with a record of 21-6. They played their first-round game of the Region 5A Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 2 against the Thunder from Andes Central/Dakota Christian. The second round of the tournament will be played tonight (Thursday). The location depends on who won in the first round on Tuesday night. All the teams are working toward a chance to play in the SoDak 16 on Tuesday, Nov. 9 to then advance to the State A Tournament in Rapid City, Nov. 18-20.
