The Town ‘n Kountry Kids 4-H Club – Blue Group met on Sept. 15 at the Letcher ballpark for recreation and a family picnic.
The meeting was called to order by President Riley Zoss and the pledges were recited. Roll call topic of, “If you owned a candy store, what would be your favorite candy to sell?” was answered by 11 members and numerous guests. Teri and Alexis Kelly gave a report on the Summer Reading Program.
Achievement Day and State Fair was discussed for old business.
New Business: Completion of camp forms. Record books due before Oct 1. Award forms need to be completed at this time also. National 4-H week committee is Bailey and Madi Moody, Alexis Kelly and Michael Hoffman. The club decided to make and donate a quilt for Dig Pink night. The 4-H club will be assisting with the community Halloween party in late October.
Alexis Kelly gave a talk, “How to Make an Apple and Snickers Salad.”
The next meeting will be held on Oct. 20 in the Letcher Community Center at 7 p.m.
