Weyland H. Hvam, age 82, Fedora, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 in his residence south of Fedora.
Services will be a private family Celebration of Life at a later date. Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fulton.
Arrangements were by Willoughby Funeral Home, Howard.
Weyland Helge Hvam was born March 16, 1931 to George and Byrdie (Bricker) Hvam on a farmstead south of Fedora in Miner County. Weyland was raised in the area and attended Manley County School until the eighth grade. He then helped on the family farm until he was united in marriage to Sharon Anderson on Aug. 19, 1962 at Huron. The couple lived in Huron and moved to Fedora in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Vernon, and his wife, Darlene, and a mother-in-law, Mary Cheley.
Survivors include his wife Sharon of Fedora; three sons, Mark (Nancy) of Canova, Mike of Fedora and Todd of Artesian; two daughters, Michelle (Gary) Jorgenson of Sioux Falls, and Stephanie (Bill) Meyers of Huron; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Staley of DeKalb, Ill.; and numerous family members and friends.
