Jill J. Olson, age 54, of Woonsocket died Sunday, Dec. 1 at her home surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wilfrid Catholic Church, Woonsocket, with Rev. Rhonda Wellsandt-Zell officiating. Burial will be in Eventide Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Jill Olson was born Jan. 24, 1959 in Britton to Ray and Sharon (Ferguson) Johnson. She grew up and graduated from Britton High School in 1977. Jill attended Northern State College in 1977 and graduated in 1981 with a degree in teaching. She was employed by the Woonsocket School District until 2013.
She was united in marriage to Craig Olson in 1991, along with his three wonderful daughters, Michelle, Tara and Carli.
Jill was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Woonsocket. She loved teaching, quilting and spending time with her grandkids, nieces and nephews. Most of all she loved spending time with her soul mate, Craig, and her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Craig; her three step-daughers, Michell Virginia and financé Tony Manobianco, Phoenix, N.Y., Tara (Adam) Larson, Sioux Falls, and Carli (Nathan) Grace, Hartford; her parents, Ray and Sharon Johnson, Britton; her brother, Bruce (Kitty) Johnson, Britton; her four sisters, Dawn (Wayne) Moreau, Dennis, Mass., Laurie (Wayne) Polzin, San Jose, Calif., Tamara (friend Ken) Johnson, LeSeur, Minn., and Jennie (John) Niven, Orlando, Fla.; her mother- and father-in-law, Arvid and Evelyn Olson, Sioux Falls; sister-in-law, Gloria (Jerry) Klaas, Woonsocket; brother-in-law, Doug (Kim) Olson, Sioux Falls; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
