Donald LeRoy Godfrey, 78 years, of Santa Clara, Calif., formerly of Forestburg, passed away on Nov. 11, 2015 at home.
Gravesite services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Letcher at a later date.
Don was born on May 29, 1937, to Selmer and Gladys Godfrey in Sanborn County. He was confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Letcher, and he graduated from Forestburg High School in 1956.  He was in the United States Army from 1959-1961 and moved to California in 1961.
Don married Linda Nelson Oct. 27, 1963, at the Forestburg Lutheran Church.  He was self-employed and then went to work at Moffet Field. He retired in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Brett (Holly) and Brad; two grandsons and one granddaughter; several brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law  and many nieces and nephews.
