The Town and Kountry Kids Blue Group met Sept. 20 at the Letcher Community Center.
The pledges were led by Miley Adams and Clay Moody. Roll call topic of “your favorite color” was answered by 21 members. The secretary’s report was given and approved.
A motion was made by Mason Moody and seconded by Ashlee Hanson to accept the treasurer’s report.
The committee for National 4-H Week on Oct. 4-10 is working events for the week at school. Committee members are: Teagon Moody, Ashlee Hanson, Kara Wormstadt, Bailey and Madi Moody, Ellie Evans and Delaney Zoss. Ellie Evans provided cards to be written to senior citizens in our community.
Old business: Record books were discussed and ideas for the 4-H story.
New business: Recognition event will be held on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper. Motion made by Dean Hanson, seconded by Miley Adams to host a Trunk or Treat on Letcher’s main street. Motion carried. A committee of Brady Larson, Ellie Evans, Bryce Larson, and Chloe Degen were appointed for details.
American Education week is Nov. 16-20. Cole Moody, Bailey and Madi Moody are on the committee to report at the next meeting.
Ashlee Hanson made a motion to donate $435 (pie money from the Sanborn County Pie contest at Achievement Days) to the 4-H grounds Improvement Fund. Bryce Larson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be Oct. 25 at the Letcher Community Center at 1 p.m. New members are welcome.
