Letcher Town Board proceedings

July 5th, 2017

Mayor Chada called the meeting to order with Hoffman, Larson, and Meier in attendance.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the June 20th, 2017 minutes as read.
A motion was made by Larson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve the financials as presented.
Old Business: Discussion was held on meters that need to be fixed.
New Business: Discussion was held on a water pressure issue with a customer.
Discussion was held on past due accounts.
Received $2,702.00 for the mosquito grant.
Discussion was held on getting a new quote for the town insurance due to current insurance is closing. CorInsurance is getting a new quote for the town.
Discussion was held on the Sanborn County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Board went over some questions. Next meeting is scheduled for August 9th at 1:00 p.m. in Woonsocket.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the 2018 membership with Planning and Development District III.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the following claims for payment:
General AND WATER/SEWER: Buckshot’s – $342.65 – fuel for mower/truck, NorthWestern Energy – $921.79 – Lagoon – $15.00, Letcher/Rossy Park – $24.76, Water Plant – $27.50, Street Lights – $494.63, Lift station – $130.56, Water Valve – $10.92, Sump – $10.00, Community Center – $208.42, Ballpark – $88.45, Jim Fridley – $184.70 – water sample, Angie Larson – $206.64 – trustee wages, Santel Communications – $344.46, Office/Phone – $49.94, Community Center/Phone – $45.23, Office/Internet – $62.52, Community Center/Internet – $66.07, Menards – $1,105.23- grounds supplies, Mark Chada – $360.16 – mayor wages, Ed Hoffman – $305.46 – trustee wages, Department of Revenue – $15.00 – water samples, Angie Meier – $1,008.00 – mowing/finance office/meeting, Jesse Dominguez – $843.68 – summer help, IRS – $4,084.38 – quarterly taxes, Renee Farmer – $92.35 – custodian, Shelley Knutson – $166.23 – trustee wages, Lachnit Construction – $375.00 – working on town office building, Miedema Sanitation – $120.00 – garbage removal.
The next board meetings will be held on August 8th, August 22nd, September 5th, and September 19th, 2017, at the town office.
