Marcella Crane, 93, Mitchell, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, in Firesteel Healthcare Center, Mitchell.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 14 in the Endeavor Presbyterian Church, Fedora. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Artesian. Visitation was Thursday evening in the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.
Marcella Edna Crane was born March 31, 1919, in rural Menno to Edward and Christina (Edelman) Klasi. She graduated from Molan #60 School at Menno. She attended high school at Menno and Hurley and graduated from Freeman High School in 1936. In 1937, she graduated from the Mitchell Business College.
She married Donald McDaniel, July 27, 1939 at Mitchell. She later married Ivan Crane June 7, 1946, at Mitchell. She and Ivan farmed at Fedora for many years, until she moved to Rosewood Court and later to Firesteel Healthcare Center at Mitchell.
She was a very active member of the Fedora Congregational Church and the Endeavor Presbyterian Church at Fedora. She was active in 4-H, was a 4-H Leader and an avid sports fan.
She is survived by five children, Keith (Becky) McDaniel of North Platte, Neb., Royce (Marilyn) of Suwanee, Ga., Larry (Mary) Crane of Mitchell, Doyle Crane of Fedora, Arlan (Tu) Crane of Longmont, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; her granddaughter, Brenda McDaniel; and her grandson, Adam Crane.
